Privacy at Heard in AI
You can read the magazine without accepting analytics or signing up for email.
Site analytics
With your permission, we use ArtisanPack to store statistics on our own server. A random ID helps us count returning browsers. We use these reports to understand which articles get read. We do not send this analytics data to an advertising or external analytics service.
Analytics does not store your name, email address, IP address or browser fingerprint. It records the pages visited, visit times, article engagement and the source website’s domain or newsletter label. Records and cookie choices expire after 180 days.
Change your cookie settings to accept or withdraw permission. Your choice does not affect access to articles or newsletter signup.
The daily email
Topic updates by email and web push are separate, optional choices. My subscriptions lets you manage them. Push uses a browser subscription and a private cookie; it does not require an email address or analytics consent.
We store your email address and subscription status to send the newsletter you requested. Email consent is separate from analytics consent. Our subscription database counts confirmed subscriptions even when analytics is off.
If you allow analytics when signing up from an article, we can record which article led to your signup. This link remains after you confirm by email, even from another browser. Withdrawing analytics permission from the original browser removes the link.
Read the email privacy details, including Mailgun delivery and unsubscribe records.
Site operation and your rights
The hosting server may keep request logs to operate and secure the site. These are separate from analytics and may include your IP address and requested URL.
You can ask the publisher about your data, request access or deletion, or withdraw permission. Contact [email protected].
